SceneTalk standards

Editorial Policy

SceneTalk publishes original illustrative entertainment reporting with the same basic commitments expected of a credible newsroom: be accurate, make sourcing clear, correct errors quickly and keep commercial incentives outside editorial judgment.

Sourcing and verification

We seek direct documentation, on-the-record interviews and independent confirmation for material claims. When facts cannot be independently verified, we say so or do not publish them. Headlines and social posts must reflect the body of a story, not exceed it.

Anonymous sources

We use anonymous sources only when the information is newsworthy, the source has direct knowledge, and identifying them would create a credible risk. An editor must know the source’s identity and assess the reason for anonymity. We do not grant anonymity for opinion, speculation or convenience.

Independence and conflicts

Staff disclose financial, professional or close personal relationships that could reasonably call coverage into question. Writers do not accept payment to write coverage, and commercial partners do not direct, preview or suppress editorial work.

AI usage

AI tools may assist with formatting, transcription and routine production under human editorial oversight. They do not replace reporting, source verification or editorial accountability. Where substantial AI-generated illustrative material is used, it is labeled accordingly.

Corrections

Readers can report errors through contact. We assess substantive errors promptly and mark corrections with a time-stamped note. The full process appears in our corrections policy.
