Corrections Policy

Accuracy is a continuing obligation. If SceneTalk gets a material fact wrong, leaves out essential context or creates a misleading impression, we want to hear about it and correct the record visibly.

How to report an error

Email corrections@scenetalk.org with the story URL, the specific claim at issue, a concise explanation and any documentation that can help us assess it. We do not require a public complaint to begin a review.

What gets corrected

We correct factual errors, substantive omissions and misleading presentation. Small typographical errors may be silently fixed when they do not alter meaning. Significant revisions receive an editor’s note describing what changed and when.

Labels and timestamps

A corrected story carries a correction or update label at the byline. We preserve the original publication time and add a revised timestamp. When a claim cannot be supported, we revise or remove it and explain the change when practical.

Escalation

If you believe an issue has not been resolved, reply to the correction acknowledgment and request review by the Editor-in-Chief. That review is independent of the original assigning editor whenever possible.
